Bardolino 2009. Pale cherry ruby with brilliant ruby reflections and rosy rim fading to white. The bouquet is bright and fresh, with violets and cherry fruit supported by slight greenish acidity. Cheeky. On the palate it’s medium bodied, with bright cherry fruit supported by clean bright berry fruit acidity and tannins that have a dusky burr and flow into a clean bright berry fruit finish. Pleasant, and will drink quite well with hearty vegetable soups, grilled meats and other quickly cooked foods.
